Erik Trinkaus, the Mary Tileston Hemenway Professor in Arts & Sciences and Professor of Physical Anthropology, is the recipient of the Arthur Holly Compton Faculty Achievement Award.
The Faculty Senate Council and the Chancellor established the Arthur Holly Compton Faculty Achievement Award in 1999 and is given to a distinguished member of the faculty from one of the six Danforth Campus Schools. Recipients of the Faculty Achievement Award are selected according to the following criteria:
- Outstanding achievement in research and scholarship;
- Recognized prominence within the community of scholars;
- Service and dedication for the betterment of Washington University;
- Respected accomplishments in teaching.
Dr. Trinkaus received the award and gave a presentation of his scholarly work during a ceremony on December 3rd.
